Ally Phillips

About

Ally is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in biomedical engineering. In the Sheybani Lab, her primary projects involve thermal FUS in combination with CAR T-cell therapy for immunotherapy in cancer. In her previous lab, Ally developed and implemented a wireless running wheel to track mouse activity in a research setting.  She was awarded the Harrison Undergraduate Research Award in 2025 and presented her research at the 2026 ACC Meeting of the Minds Undergraduate Research Conference in Tallahassee as well as the 2026 Undergraduate Research Symposium at UVA. Following graduation, Ally plans to pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering. Outside of the lab, she enjoys running, going for walks with friends, playing the violin in a chamber group, and reading.
