Mary Eleanor Mulrooney Hermes

About

Mary Eleanor is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in biomedical engineering. In the Sheybani Lab, she supports research investigating how focused ultrasound improves therapeutic delivery and treatment of brain cancers. Her contributions include data analysis such as passive cavitation detection and quantifying tumor volumes. She hopes to pursue higher education after completing her undergraduate studies. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, watching TV, and playing cello in UVA’s Cavalier Symphony Orchestra.
