About
Tom is a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering PhD candidate. He graduated from the University of Florida Summa Cum Laude with his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. His primary research interests include the development of novel methods utilizing mechanical focused ultrasound to potentiate the efficacy of a novel integrin targeted CAR-T cell therapy in the setting of primary and brain metastatic breast cancer. His research employs a variety of methods to assess the effect of focused ultrasound on the delivery and kinetics of labeled ImmunoTherapeutics including PET, MR, and bioluminescent techniques. His additional research interests include tumor extracellular matrix modulation in the setting of breast and pancreatic cancer. When Tom is not at the lab he enjoys running, playing guitar, cooking and woodworking.
